Captain Watanabe is the minor antagonist in Battlefield II war story Isles of the Pacific. He's the Japanese officer and commander of small unit stationing near Kokumbona, Guadalcanal.
When Thomas Campo got captured by Japanese soldiers, he was brought to a large hut, functioning as POW prison. At the beginning of Cocumbona Village Campo wakes up tied to a chair. Watanabe aska him about location of American forces and when Campo refuses to tell him about it, he's being beaten by another Japanese soldier with a bamboo stick. At some point of interrogation, Watanabe hears strange voice and orders his henchman to check it out. The soldier comes out of the shack and gets knifed by Sullivan. Then, Campo kicks Watanabe's leg, forcing him to fall. Francis Owens enters the hut and shoots Watanabe with his shotgun, killing him.
